We look forward to seeing you at MECSPE 2025!

Come to MECSPE to discover what concrete answers we can offer you to overcome the challenges of automation and assembly.

We have stated it many times: increasingly demanding markets (in terms of production customization, fast-paced rhythms, technological innovations that travel quickly impacting the way we live and work) and unstable macroeconomic situations (due to conflicts, geopolitical issues, etc.) put manufacturing companies in front of increasingly difficult challenges, in terms of production performance, flexibility and competitiveness in general. Challenges to which they must respond by guaranteeing sustainability in all aspects: environmental, social, economic. To complicate matters, there are the now well-known difficulties in finding the technical skills necessary to manage production plants. The picture is therefore very complex and brings with it many problems, both for plant manufacturers like Cosberg and for production companies that entrust their competitiveness also to these plants.

To offer its customers concrete and winning answers to the current scenarios, Cosberg offers several solutions, all the result of a multi-step roadmap that brings to the ground the experience of over forty years matured in various industrial sectors (from furniture hardware to industry, electromechanical, automotive) and in every corner of the world (Europe, India, China, United States, South America). In addition to the transversal skills derived from the great variety of objects assembled over time, it puts on the plate the lateral thinking that has always distinguished it, as well as the propensity to anticipate the times: characteristics that have led it to overturn the point of view and to consider new business models, including rental, which represents a great challenge considering that it creates custom solutions.

At MECSPE 2025 (Hall 30, Stand B48), Cosberg is present with a newly designed plant, which incorporates several technological innovations. It is a machine with a compact design, equipped with an efficient pallet transport system via linear electric motors that offers significantly higher levels of productivity than those obtainable with the traditional belt system. Specifically, in cases where it can be applied, this solution guarantees:

  • higher pallet speed (therefore high volumes)
  • greater flexibility and reconfigurability (i.e. ability to quickly adapt the plant to new production needs)
  • greater precision (total control of each phase through electric motors)

At the Cosberg stand there is also Miraitek as co-exhibitor (a company of the Group and spin-off of the Politecnico di Milano, which designs, develops and markets innovative IT systems for the connection, monitoring, control and maintenance of capital goods) which will allow visitors to learn more about all the software news to monitor, reconfigure and manage the plants, including Consumption and Performance Monitoring systems (Cosberg4Machine), the Smart Edge (system that allows to parameterize and configure the entire process through a truly friendly interface that does not use the PLC) and Berg (software still in the refinement phase which thanks to the help of Generative AI offers an interactive guided conduct and suggests solutions in case of anomalies).

Common objectives of all the solutions presented are: to make the plants more and more efficient (reducing set-up times, production changes and integrating technologies that can promote speed and precision), flexible (easily adaptable), reconfigurable, reliable, as autonomous as possible - meaning manageable even by non-specialized personnel (while also protecting the know-how, which is stored within the machine and not entrusted solely to people) and sustainable (through consumption monitoring, detection of any pneumatic leaks, the ability to reconvert the plant by reusing a good part of the modules).

In summary, Cosberg - a company founded in 1982, recognized as a point of reference for the design and construction of custom assembly plants - proves to be the right partner to develop - together with the customer - effective solutions for automation and assembly (modules, equipment and customized machines) integrated with systems and services for the optimization of related processes (monitoring, traceability, revamping, logistics) and offers, in addition to 43 years of experience, a 360° approach and consultancy aimed at increasing the competitiveness of manufacturing companies.

To give everyone the opportunity to experience firsthand the validity and concreteness of its products and services, the Bergamo-based company has scheduled an open day to be held in the spring at the headquarters in Terno d'Isola. Anyone interested in joining can receive more information directly at the Cosberg stand in Mecspe or can write to us.
